I provide individual therapy to individuals struggling with a number of different clinical concerns. My most notable expertise includes work with individuals who experienced abuse and neglect, individuals struggling with addiction or self-harm, and individuals exploring personal and cultural identity. I have been trained in multiple specific therapy forms and integrate from a number of perspectives, including DBT, Narrative therapy, strengths-based and feminist therapies, mindfulness-based therapies, relational therapies, and humanistic/existential approaches. I am a trained EMDR provider - EMDR is an empirically supported treatment for posttraumatic stress, anxiety, and phobias- and a certified Anchored Relational Therapy provider and consultant.
My therapeutic approach is multi-systemic and aimed at supporting collective liberation for all marginalized populations.
Individuals with trauma histories often have different relational needs than what would be provided in traditional relationship therapy. I provide trauma-specific relational therapy that is supportive of ongoing individual healing while also enriching the relational connection between partners. This often includes addressing barriers to healthy romance and intimacy, bolstering mutuality and interdependence, and fostering dignity-based communication and interaction.
In addition to general, comprehensive psychological assessment, I also provide forensic assessment in the context of civil, criminal, and family court litigation. My psychological assessments provide comprehensive clinical information, often including diagnosis, and recommendations presented in a thorough report.
I evaluate trauma- and dissociation-specific factors contributing to distress. A growing body of research has demonstrated that individuals with histories of trauma produce test results on commonly used instruments that may be misinterpreted. This often leads to misdiagnosis, making it difficult for people to access the most helpful services.
I provide services in-person at my office at the Everett marina in Washington state. I also provide Telehealth services to individuals living in Washington state or any PsyPact participating state of territory (for a list of PsyPact participating states and territories, click here).
