Heal, Reclaim, Reconnect
Trauma may be your past, but it doesn't have to be your future.
Trauma may be your past, but it doesn't have to be your future.
Experiencing trauma can make us feel like we are broken. We may struggle with our emotions, our relationships, or feeling like there is no escape from our distress. Strengths-based, empowerment-focused trauma services help people heal from the ways they have been hurt, reclaim what they have lost, and reconnect in the world with purpose, meaning, and authenticity. My approach is relational and collaborative, integrating the best available evidence on how trauma impacts neurology, development, sense of self, and overall well-being. Those who have survived trauma know that adaptive ways of surviving develop that may not always help them achieve their long-term goals (and may even feel like it is not worth setting goals in the first place).
It is not uncommon for survivors of trauma to wonder if things can get better. I believe things can, and do, get better with the right kind of supportive resources. I believe that every person has within themselves the wisdom and strength necessary to heal and live a fulfilling life.
I aspire to treat every person with dignity and provide a non-judgmental space that is safe and conducive to healing. I often work with individuals who have been hurt in the very relationships that were supposed to be safe and supportive (possibly including prior therapy relationships). As such, I respect that entering into a new therapy relationship may produce fear, anxiety, or apprehension and always aim to support whatever might be needed to foster safety and healing. I aim to combine my own knowledge, education, and training with your expertise on your own experience to approach your concerns and needs in a collaborative way.
I provide individual therapy services, couples therapy, and trauma-focused, forensic, or general-clinical psychological assessment.
I also provide consultation to other clinicians or institutions providing trauma- and dissociation-informed care. To find out more about consultation services, click here.
I also accept most commercial insurance carriers in Washington State. For more information on Billing and Insurance, click here.
